More than 100 senior IT decision makers representing over 50 companies across a range of  industries including maritime, banking, energy, healthcare, and smart cities and real estate development, came together  at Hello! World Dubai to discuss the impact and share experiences of digital transformation within enterprises in the region and how people have a vital role in the transformation process . Orange Business Services is already working as a digital partner and consultant at the country and city level, and also with a large number of multinational companies in the region to deliver digital solutions that support their strategic business needs.

Digital transformation

New business opportunities are being created by digital transformation and through the changes in the way services are delivered inside government, across industries and within enterprises, and these are driving a rapid diversification of the regional economy.

Orange Business Services consultants and strategic technology partners presented real life case studies that demonstrated how technology empowers people. Senior business and IT leaders from within the customer base of Orange shared their insights via keynote sessions about new opportunities in the marketplace.

Speakers included Dr. Hossam Ghoneim, Senior Advisor to the CEO of Dr. Samir Abbas Hospital in Saudi Arabia; Mr Mert Oruz, CIO of Arkas in Turkey and Mr Kris Vedat, CIO of Topaz . Speakers from Orange Business Services included the CEO, Thierry Bonhomme, Helmut Reisinger, Senior Vice President, International Business,  and Luc Serviant, Vice President, Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.

According to Orange, technology only really becomes innovation when it becomes truly useful to the greatest number of people.

Commenting on Hello! World Dubai, Luc Serviant, Vice President, Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, Orange Business Services, said: “Orange Business Services operates worldwide and the Middle East region and especially the GCC offers a unique combination of business opportunities.   The GCC economy is transforming and looking for digital technologies and solutions to accelerate the process. From our discussions with customers and partners at Hello! World in Dubai, it is clear that technology is only one element of the transformation process and that the human element is arguably the most critical and difficult. People are key because the ultimate users of technology are people.”
