Comprising of properties that make it a fully-recyclable material, glass has been gaining popularity with the construction fraternity, who are constantly seeking innovative and green construction solutions.
In 2015, Cision Research and Markets valued the construction glass market at $81.9 billion and has more recently forecasted a 7.6% CAGR leading to 2022.Developers have been welcoming innovative processes in buildings that incorporate energy efficient cooling, heating and lighting solutions. Opportunities stretch from the solar energy sector (where glass is a principle material to build panels), to value-added architectural considerations such as acoustics and utility reduction.
Recent activities are examples of this growing trend including Moblik, the Telecommunications Authority (TRA) in Abu Dhabi, being awarded a Gold LEED certification and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) committing to maximize reliance on clean energy by Expo 2020 Dubai.
Gulf Glass will take place from 25-27 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
