The International Property Awards, which recognises the finest property, architecture and interior design in the world, held a high-profile gala dinner and presentation at The J W Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai on 7th September, where the Five Star winners of the Africa & Arabia Property Awards were announced.

The Sustainable City by Diamond Developers won a triple array of Five-Star Awards within the categories of Best Mixed Use Development Dubai, Best Public Services Development Dubai and Best Residential Development Dubai. Diamond Developers have also been nominated to represent the Arabia regions in the 2017-2018 International Property Awards. The highest scoring Five-Star winners will find out if they have become the holders of the prestigious title ‘Best in Region’. They will then compete against other regional winners from Asia Pacific, Africa, UK, Europe and the USA & Americas to find the ultimate World’s Best in category. The results will be revealed at a glittering awards ceremony in London on 4th December 2017 at the Savoy Hotel.

Located over 46 hectares in Dubailand, the Sustainable City offers three pillars of sustainability – Environmental, Economic and Social – across one all-inclusive and comprehensive community landscape. The city offers a full array of residential luxury facilities and amenities that have no negative impact on the environment and this unique concept redefines sustainable living through its energy efficient housing, first Net Zero Energy city, no service or maintenance fees, green education and health care. Several eco-attractions provide a full range of indoor and outdoor leisure activities, commercial, urban farming, and an Innovation Centre all resulting in a high quality sustainable living.

Hundreds of entries from the Africa and Arabia regions were scrutinised by the judging committee, which is chaired by The Earl of Caithness, The Earl of Liverpool and Lord Best, as well as over 70 global experts. The awards were presented by Stuart Shield, President, International Property Awards and Majid Saqer AlMarri, Senior Director Real Estate Promotion Department, Real Estate Investment Management & Promotion Center, Dubai Land Department.

Stuart Shield, President of The International Property Awards said

“The International Property Awards are in their 25th year and this was our 12th year in Dubai. We were delighted to see 21 different countries in the Africa and Arabia regions competing strongly for an award. Attaining one of these awards proves the necessary qualities and professionalism to excel over other companies within the highly competitive Africa & Arabia regions.”
