Solar power firm Enviromena has been shortlisted in the Energy Provider of the Year category of the MEED Awards, a new awards programme aimed at recognising and honouring the countless companies and stakeholders that have been instrumental to the success of the GCC’s growth story.

Sami Khoreibi, CEO, said: “We’re thrilled that a firm that focuses solely on green energy has been shortlisted as energy provider of the year. Solar power really is seeing a huge rise in popularity across the MENA region and the fact that we have been named as a finalist in this category is testament to its growth.”

Enviromena was recognised for its work to make the world a greener place by installing more than 17,000 solar home systems and creating over 40 solar power plants since its inception. The company, which has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jordan, Egypt and Morocco, is behind some of the biggest commercial solar projects in the MENA region, while also dedicating work to bringing renewable energy to people in remote areas.

“We congratulate all the finalists for their achievements, and commend their efforts for steering their businesses to success. We hope that this recognition paves the way for greater growth, and becomes an inspiration for others to follow,” says Becky Crayman, Head of Awards, MEED.

The winners of the 2017 MEED Awards will be honoured at a glittering ceremony on the 29th November, at the Conrad Dubai. To find out more about the company visit
