It is the only state out of seven that has a coastline solely on the Gulf of Oman and none on the Persian Gulf. Traveling in here is quite easy in here. It has been made easy by the development of modern roads and highways since the independence in the year of 1971. Highways of the emirate are directly funded by the federal government whereas the contracts are tendered centrally. This ensures the safeguard of the quality and delivery of the contracts and to prevent any kinds of corruptions from damaging the constructions.
